Culbertson Museum To Close For Season
The Culbertson Museum has closed for the year, according to a loose annual schedule. Staff said the museum will reopen in May.
Jill Loomer-Herness told the Community News that Sheridan Electric has finished changing out lighting in the barn prior to closing up for the season.
Herness said traffic to the museum came from a variety of destinations.
“Although our numbers were down, we’ve enjoyed visiting with people from 35 states,” she said. Visitors from five Canadian provinces and five foreign countries also stopped at the museum.
The Culbertson Museum is a non-profit organization and is volunteer-run. Donations continue to be sought to cover operating expenses and building maintenance.
More individuals will be needed to cover regular museum shifts starting in May. Contact the museum at 406787-6320 for more information or visit its Facebook page.
