Bulldogs Drop Game To Jordan, 31-26

The Bainville Bulldogs were outscored by Jordan, 3126, in six-man football action held in Jordan on Friday, Sept. 9.

The Bulldogs struck first when Rowan Wilson connected with Cayden Boyd on a three-yard touchdown pass for a 6-0 advantage.

Jordan responded with a nine-yard touchdown dash by Jayden Salyor.

On the ensuing kickoff, Bainville’s Samuel Butikofer raced 60 yards for a kickoff to put the Bulldogs back ahead by a 12-6 margin.

Cayden Boyd hit Chuck Butikofer with a pass on the conversion for a 13-6 lead.

After the Mustangs struck on a 19-yard throw from Jason Murnion to Porter Kreider early in the second quarter, the Bulldogs responded with a 24-yard touchdown play from Wilson to Trevor Robertus for a 19-12 lead.

The Mustangs pulled to 1918 when Saylor ran in from the four later in the half.

Bainville accounted for the final touchdown of the half when Boyd found C. Butikofer on a 17-yard pass. Boyd ran in the conversion for a 26-18 half-time lead.

After a scoreless third quarter, the Mustangs pulled to 26-24 on a three-yard touchdown run by Saylor.

Jordan went ahead on a short run by Saylor. Murnion passed to Kreider for the conversion for a 31-26 lead.

The Bulldogs will host Plevna at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16, for a conference contest.
