Jordan Team Wins Title At Governor’s Cup

 

A father/son team from Jordan captured first-place honors at this year’s Governor’s Cup Walleye Tournament held at Fort Peck July 14-15.

Jordan’s Clyde and Brem Phipps earned the top spot in the walleye fishing tournament with a two-day total of 104.32 pounds.

Joshua Johnson of Williston, N.D., and Cody Roland of Noonan, N.D., placed second with 103.78 pounds.

The team of Cody Martinez of Winnett and Max Wilson of Campbellsport, Wis., took third at 101.5 pounds.

Laurel’s Owen Wilcox and Belgrade’s Zeik Gordon came in fourth place at 98.62 pounds.

The Williston team of Ron McNary and Marty Oyloe placed fifth at 86.78 pounds.

Wolf Point’s Whit and Carly Rush earned ninth place at 73.2 pounds. They were the top mixed couples team at the tournament.
