Basketball Shooting Contest Added To Stampede

 

Another activity has been added to the long list of fun events planned for the Wolf Point Wild Horse Stampede celebration this July.

Marianne Zilkoski Rees has announced that The Wild “Horse” Sharp-shooter competition is scheduled to take place in “The Jungle” located behind the library. Starting time is 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 8.

Age divisions will include second-fourth grade, fifth-seventh grade, eighthninth grade, 10-12th grade and adult. Entry fees are $10 for youth and $20 for adults. Entry deadline is July 7.

A break from the competition will take place for the parade. It will be a double-elimination tournament.

The first-place winner and runner-up in each division will each receive prizes.

Other activities being planned for that Saturday include the Human Stampede run, a pancake breakfast, a car show, a chair-ity and yard art show, a stick horse rodeo, a book talk and bed races. The parade begins at 1 p.m. that day. A carnival opens at 5 p.m., and the rodeo starts at 7 p.m.
