Lions Win Honors At Top 10 Meet Lions Win Honors At Top 10 Meet

 

Two first-place performances along with other solid efforts highlighted the top 10 track for the Lustre Lions on Tuesday, May 2.

Jasiah Hambira, a senior, demonstrated a great final kick to win the 400-meter dash with a time of 51.77 seconds.

Johnslee Pierre, a freshman, cruised to victory in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 42.81 seconds.

Hambira came away with two second-place showings at the meet. He ran the 200 in 23.52 seconds and had a mark of 42-2 in the triple jump.

Hambira cleared 6-2 for third place in the high jump.

Also placing third for the Lions were Terran Joseph in the 200 at 23.92 seconds, Pierre with a mark of 20-2 in the long jump and Braden Ewing with a best of 42-0 in the triple jump.

Pierre placed fourth in the triple jump at 41-2. Joseph took fourth in the 100 at 11.97 seconds.

Lustre’s 400-meter relay team featuring Joseph, Pierre, Ewing and Hambira finished second at 44.83 seconds.
