Tennis Team Plays Well In Red Lodge

Wolf Point’s tennis team kept improving during action at the Red Lodge tennis invitational held in Billings during the weekend.

The doubles’ team of Kaylee Johnson and Kaleah Miller-Toves posted a 3-2 record. Both losses came in tie-breakers against strong opponents.

In singles’ play, Mahala Moran earned a 2-2-1 record.

“She played great against really good competition,” Wolf Point coach Dan Horsmon said.

The coach was pleased with how well Riley Swartzrock, Jeina Reum and Tanna Guldborg competed at the tournament.

“They are first-year players that had to step into varsity roles and they got better every game,” Horsmon said.

Azalea Ackerman and Nevaeh Graham came away with a record of 1-2 in doubles’ action.

“These first-year players get better every time they play,” Horsmon said.

Having 0-1 records in doubles’ play were the teams of Swartzrock and Guldborg and Reum and Guldborg.

The Wolves will travel to Helena and play in the Townsend tournament this weekend.
