Bainville Beats Fusion At 2C Tourney

Bainville’s girls’ basketball team knocked off Richey/ Lambert, 74-48, during the first day of the District 2C tournament in Sidney on Monday, Feb. 13.

The Bulldogs jumped out to a 17-6 lead in the first quarter and then struck for 23 points in the second period for a 40-16 advantage.

Bainville’s largest lead of the game was 26 points.

Top scorers for the Bulldogs were Hailey Berwick with 19 and Elsie Wilson with 16 points. Berwick hit five three-pointers in the victory.

Also scoring for Bainville were Kaelyn Romo with eight, Chandi Johnson with six, Miah Pippenger with nine, Brecklyn Pippenger with five, Lila Butikofer with four, Tally Berwick with two and Kendra Romo with two.

B. Pippenger accounted for six assists. Addison Hansen grabbed five rebounds.

Top scorers for the Fusion were Kiera Rains with 14, Lauren Prevost with 11, Jolee Klempel with 11 and ShaeLyn Williams with 10 points.

The Bulldogs will face Plentywood at 6 p.m. Feb. 16.
