Cowboys Drop Close Game To Fusion

The Culbertson Cowboys dropped a tough 48-45 game against Richey/Lambert on Saturday, Feb. 4.

The Cowboys fell behind 21-16 in the first quarter and trailed 27-26 at the half.

Richey/Lambert scored 13 points in the second period for a 40-35 advantage.

Top scorers for the Cowboys were Colin Avance with 11, Bridger Salvevold with 10 and Mo Bighorn with nine points.

Also scoring were Nyreece Halvorson with six, Justice Bengochea with four, Dawson Bergum with three and Mark Kirkaldie with two.

Leading the Fusion were Josh Sponheim with 12, Nick Engesser with nine, Tiegan Cundiff with nine, Austin Lien with eight and Lane Herman with eight.

The Cowboys will travel to Froid/Lake on Friday, Feb. 10, and host Savage on Saturday, Feb. 11.
