Poplar Posts Victory Over Plentywood

 

Poplar’s defense held Plentywood scoreless in the second quarter and posted a 53-45 home boys’ basketball victory on Friday, Jan. 27.

After falling behind 17-12 in the first quarter, the Indians scored 13 points in the second period for a 25-17 lead.

Poplar outscored the Wildcats by a 12-10 margin in the third quarter.

Top scorers for the Indians were William Youngman with 12, Geordy Medicine Cloud with 10, Delray Lilley with 10 and Allen Russell with 10 points.

Also scoring were Kaniel Ricker with six, Walker Burshia with three and Kameron Reum with two points.

Leading Poplar were Carson Solberg with 10 and Noah Murray with nine points.

The Indians will travel to face Froid/Lake on Friday, Feb. 3, and Dobson on Saturday, Feb. 4.
