Froid/Lake Girls Beat Thunder

Froid/Lake’s girls’ basketball squad fought off Mon-Dak, 36-31, during home girls’ basketball action on Saturday, Jan. 28.

The conference game was deadlocked at 6-6 after the first quarter and the Red Hawks fell behind 14-11 at the half.

The Red Hawks bounced back to score 11 points in the third quarter to earn a 22-21 advantage.

Froid/Lake accounted for 14 points in the final period to score the victory.

Leading the Red Hawks were Dasani Nesbit with 14 and Baylee Davidson with 10 points. Also scoring were Addison Elvsaas with six, Mara Salvevold with four and Brooklyn Nordwick with two points.

Abbey Lowes scored 13 points for the Thunder.

The Red Hawks will host Poplar on Friday, Feb. 3, and travel to Plentywood on Saturday, Feb. 4.
