Frazer Girls Outscore Brockton

 

Frazer’s girls’ basketball team captured a 49-46 victory over Brockton in Frazer on Friday, Jan. 27.

After a 20-20 deadline at the half, the Bearcubs gained a 39-26 lead in the third quarter. Baily Beston scored seven points and Isabelle Even added six points in the period.

Frazer then held on for a three-point victory during fourth quarter action. Beston tallied six points in the period.

B. Beston topped all scorers with 28 points including 11 in the second period. Even finished with eight points and Angel Nelligan had five points. Lianna Jackson and Leigha Smoker had two points each. Top scorers for Brockton were Tamryn Bauer with 14 and Jasalyn Lambert with 13 points.

In the boys’ game, Brockton outscored the Bearcubs by a 76-52 final.

Brockton held a 43-36 halftime lead and increased the margin to 64-40 in the third quarter.

Leading Frazer were Ty Fourstar with 15 and Jarvis Goodbird with 12 points. Also scoring were Travis Long with nine, Joseph Beston with eight, Cassius Smoker with five and Zayden Hentges with four points.

Leading Brockton were Quincy Belgarde with 24 and QuinnDale Pretty Paint with 22 points.

The Bearcubs will host MonDak on Thursday, Feb. 2, and Nashua on Friday, Feb. 3.
