Cowgirls Suffer Defeat In Savage

 

After a strong start, the Culbertson Cowgirls fell short in Savage, 49-46, on Saturday, Jan. 14. The Cowgirls earned a 13-5 lead in the first quarter and held a 26-21 half-time advantage.

Culbertson was still ahead 36-32 after three quarters of play, but Savage struck for 17 points in the last quarter.

Top scorers for the Cowgirls were Makena Hauge with 18 and Destiny Thompson with 13 points.

Rounding out Culbertson’s scoring were Perla Burciaga with nine, Megan Granbois with four and Alicyn Ator with two points.

Leading Savage were Cambry Conradsen with 17 and Teah Conradsen with 15 points. Karley McPherson added seven points.

The Cowgirls will head to MonDak on Friday, Jan. 20, and Lustre Christian on Saturday, Jan. 21.
