CHS Speech And Drama Ready For Divisionals

The CHS speech and drama team competed at Huntley Project Jan. 14. Over 350 students competed in 17 events, with many events having more than 30 competitors. “The competition was the toughest the team has met to date,” said coach Jeri Gustafson. “Everyone got good comments and are now better prepared for Divisionals in Roundup. The day was not without mishaps. Trevor’s stand broke as he was setting up to perform for his first round creating serious issues. At the end of the day, Trevor placed second in informative, Marissa placed seventh in informative, Peyton placed seventh in Mime and the team placed third in the speech sweepstakes. Overall, it was a great day.”
