Dear Editor: The report in your paper concerning my remarks about the possible acquisition of the 700 square feet of the lot adjacent to ours concerning what I offered to pay is out of context. Former area resident Santana Ledeau has been charged with two counts of robbery, two counts of assault on a peace officer and one count of criminal endangerment in Cascade County district court. According to law enforcement officials, Ledeau was involved in a chase on Monday, Oct. 17, that started in Great Falls and ended in Simms. The Wolf Point Optimist Club is excited to offer its own Halloween tradition on Monday, Oct. 31. The club will give out hot dogs for its Halloweenie event starting at 4 p.m. on Monday at the Catholic Hamburger Stand on the corner of Third Avenue South and Anaconda Street. Club president A.J. Allen said the club provided 400 hot dogs last year and is increasing the amount of weenies to 500

Come Halloween, youngsters’ attentions are understandably focused on costumes and candy. Their parents, however, are likely more concerned with their kids’ safety. Trick-or-treating children might not pay much mind to safety. As a result, it can be hard for parents to get children to grasp the importance of being safe on Halloween. The following strategies might make that task easier.
