Governor Greg Gianforte and the Montana Department of Commerce have launched the Workforce Training Grant Program to provide $10 million to Montana non-profit and for-profit businesses for skill-based training of new and existing employees. Montana’s public schools so far have experienced 6,911 total COVID cases this school year, according to the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services. Those cases include 5,834 students and 1,077 staff members. The Culbertson Library has a new assistant librarian. Longtime local Jessica Kierstead started at the library Dec. 20. Said librarian Leona Colvin, “She’ll be taking over Story Hour and I think she’s got some really good ideas.
