The Town of Culbertson held their regular meeting Monday, June 13. There was no public comment offered. A resolution was passed approving the amended budget for fiscal year 2021-22. Following the meeting, council members held a budget hearing. Resolutions were passed establishing personnel wages and a preliminary budget for 2022-2023. Wolves Play At Tournaments In Glendive

Wolf Point’s boys’ and girls’ basketball squads each competed at the Dawson Community College’s basketball tournament in Glendive during the weekend. The Wolves finished with a 2-2 record in the boys’ division. Wolf Point’s girls had a 2-3 record. Opponents included Broadus, Circle, Lockwood, Roundup and Lockwood.

Hunters interested in signing up for licenses or permits left over from the special license and permit drawing can do so from June 20 through July 20. This new process for the sale of surplus licenses began in 2020 in response to issues in years past. The old process was vulnerable to long lag times, confusion and a perception of inequity for those unable to use the first-come, firstserved online

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks’ Licensing Bureau is soliciting proposals from conservation organizations that are interested in conducting a competitive auction or lottery for some 2023 licenses. Roosevelt County currently has 18 active COVID cases. There have been 3,325 total cases in the county. An adult COVID vaccination clinic is scheduled from 3-5 p.m. on June 23 in Culbertson. County health officials encourage all residents aged 5 and up to be vaccinated and those over 5 should consider getting booster doses. Immunizations are by appointment only.
