Ashlee Anderson with the County Cupboard food bank in Culbertson said the group’s last grocery bill was $3,500. Traffic remains high at the twice monthly food distribution dates, Anderson said they received a check from The Town Pump Charitable Foundation last week and immediately put it to use.

The Montana Supreme Court upheld a lower court decision July 26 sustaining an easement to a 40-acre park in Culbertson. The ruling resolves a longstanding dispute with Knudsen Family Limited Partnership, the Town of Culbertson and American Legion Post No. 81 over access to the area.

The Roosevelt County Commissioners approved a couple of hiring requests during their weekly meeting on Tuesday, July 26.
Keelia Brock was re-hired as a detention center officer. She has two years of experience.
Darrell Synan was hired to the road department as a seasonal employee. His duties will include cutting weeds in the Bainville area.
