Cowgirls Earn Victory In Fairview

Culbertson’s girls’ basketball squad earned a 50-20 conference victory in Fairview on Friday, Dec. 16.

The Cowgirls gained a 14-4 advantage in the first quarter. Destiny Thompson and Makena Hauge each scored four points in the period.

Culbertson added 10 points in the second period for a 24-5 lead. A three-pointer by Hauge highlighted the quarter.

The Cowgirls held a 32-14 advantage after three quarters of action.

Thompson led the Cowgirls with 18 points. Also reaching double figures were Megan Granbois with 12 and Hauge with 11 points.

Also scoring were Perla Burciaga with five and Alicyn Ator with four points.

Fairview’s top scorers were Kallia Hopes with eight and Emily Johnson with six points.
