Red Hawks Post Wins In Boys’ Games

The Froid/Lake Red Hawks rolled to victories in the first weekend of the boys’ basketball campaign.

“I was pleased with how we competed,” Froid/Lake Coach Chase White said.

The Red Hawks downed MonDak by a 50-34 final on Friday, Dec. 2. Froid/Lake held a 30-11 lead at the half.

Top scorers for the Red Hawks were Mason Dethman with 22 and Patton Bighorn with 13 points. Also scoring were Joey Boyd with seven, Max Engelke with six and Nate Stentoft with two points.

The Red Hawks then stopped Brockton, 57-39, on Saturday, Dec. 3. Froid/Lake led 25-19 at the half and 42-30 after three quarters of play.

Reaching double figures for the Red Hawks were Dethman with 24, Bighorn with 14 and Boyd with 13 points. Joseph Robertson and Stentoft each added three points.

Blair Stump led Brockton with 19 points.

The Red Hawks will face Scobey on Friday, Dec. 9, and Dodson on Saturday, Dec. 10, at the Scobey Invitational.
