Summers Earns All-State Honors At Class B Meet

Wolf Point’s junior Peyton Summers earned All-State honors by placing 12th at the Class B state cross country meet in Missoula on Saturday, Oct. 22.

Summers placed 12th with a time of 17:04.8.

Andrew Rush of St. Ignatius won the state championship with a time of 16:15.6.

The top three teams were St. Ignatius with 63 points, Three Forks with 112 and Jefferson with 129 points.

Wolf Point’s senior Kelby Bauer finished in 61st place at 19:11.3.

Rebel Mays finished in 95th place at 20:02.6.

Trent Hamilton took 170th at 23:29.6.

Poplar’s boys placed 14th in the team standings with 355 points.

Miles Boxer led Poplar by taking 39th place with a time of 18:31.1.

Poplar’s Geordy Medicine Cloud finished in 57th at 19:07.2. Kaniel Ricker earned 58th at 19:07.7.

Wilder Bearcub placed 92nd at 19:58.5. Navarjo Escarcega took 109th at 20:24.2.

Raylando Red Eagle finished 133rd at 21:12.9. Delray Lilley took 135th at 21:16.9.

Poplar’s girls were sixth in the team standings with 186 points. The top three teams were Columbus with 91, Manhattan with 96 and Red Lodge with 130 points.

Renae Parker of Jefferson was the girls’ individual champion with a time of 19:13.2.

Reinita Irizarry highlighted Poplar’s efforts by placing 20th with a time of 21:39.3.

Jazmyn Carrywater finished 23rd at 21:58.6. Mattie Falls Down earned 24th at 22:05.3.

Kacie Colgan took 43rd at 22:50.1. Blake Follette was 76th at 24:08.2.

Bailey Dupree placed 103rd at 25:54.7. Caidryn Archambault took 121st at 27:22.4.

Frazer and Brockton each competed at the Class C state meet.

The top three Class C boys’ teams were Manhattan Christian with six points, West Yellowstone with 23 points and Plenty Coups with 64 points.

Oren Arthun of Manhattan Christian was the individual champion with a time of 16:52.8.

Brockton took 19th place with 287 points. Brockton’s Quinn’Dale Prettypaint finished in 64th place at 20:53.9. Ronnie Black Dog was 92nd at 22:30.9. Quannah First That Walks was 131st at 27:47.2.

Frazer’s Ty Fourstar finished in 120th place with a time of 25:09.2. Cassius Smoker placed 125th at 25:37.0.

In the girls’ division, the top three teams were Manhattan Christian with 37 points, Culbertson/Bainville with 50 and Scobey with 55 points.

Plentywood’s Annie Kaul ran the course in 19:10.4 for championship honors.

Brockton’s girls took 14th place with 188 points. Lucille Hart finished 37th at 24:33.1. Taylor Cummings took 74th at 27:40.2. Tamryn Bauer placed 77th at 28:10.8.

Marlene Fish took 83rd at 29:09.8 and Courtney Spottedwolf was 86th at 29:36.3. Isabella Apple placed 93rd at 30:12.5. Hally Eder placed 99th at 31:10.4.

Frazer’s girls placed 16th with 200 points.

Alyssa Toce Blount finished in 58th place at 26:09.6. Shakira Beston was 64th at 26:37.0. Angel Nelligan took 78th at 28:11.8. Kalianna Toce Blount placed 105th at 32:07.5
