Area Residents Show Support For Pink Night

Thanks to contributions from the community, the Wolf Point volleyball team’s Pink Night was a success on Thursday, Oct. 13.

All funds raised through a silent auction, raffles and bake sale were donated to the Northeast Montana Health Service for breast cancer treatment.

Wolf Point coach Karli McGowan expressed appreciation to businesses and community members for donating gift baskets or gift cards for the silent auction. She explained that she wrote a request letter to businesses and then the volleyball players visited the businesses for donations.

“It was good teaching them to go out and getting donations,” McGowan said. “We have seen pretty nice donations.”

The silent auction was supported well with bids from many individuals. Dennis Heser won the $200 50/50 drawing and graciously donated $100 back to the hospital.

Nemont sponsored the shirts for both the Wolf Point and Circle squads during the match.
