Lustre Christian junior high students in the jamboree level are excited their basketball season has begun. Their first game is Saturday, Oct., 8 at Lustre with Dodson beginning at 1 p.m.

The LCHS girls volleyball team are hosting Wolf Point JV, Fairview and then traveling to Richey/Lambert for Friday’s game.

Harvest festivals began at the MB Church Sunday, Oct. 2. Richard and Hazel Funk from Canada were speakers. They were career missionaries in Germany and have returned to Alberta, Canada.

The EMB Harvest Festival will be this Sunday, Oct. 8, beginning at 11:30 a.m. with a meal. The speaker is Darwin Stoesz, who with his family have served as missionaries to Japan.

These are opportunities to learn about other cultures and what is being done to care for these people.

Lustre was blessed with a gentle soaker rain beginning Saturday. Trees and the grasslands needed this rain so much after such a long hot summer. Hopefully, it will end the grasshoppers that abounded.

Larry and Connie Wall have been the guests of Lyle and Carla Wall.
