Froid/Lake Downs Nashua In Conference Match

 

The Froid/Lake volleyball team rolled to a 25-18, 25-16, 25-9, victory in Nashua on Thursday, Oct. 7.

Ahead by only a 17-13 margin in the first set, the Red Hawks scored three straight points on kills by Carolyne Christoffersen and an ace by Baylee Davidson.

A tip by B. Davidson and a spike by Dasani Nesbit increased the gap to 22-16. After kills by Christoffersen and Nesbit put the margin at 2417, the Red Hawks ended the set at 25-18 on a back-row kill by Mara Salvevold.

Leading by a 14-10 margin in the second half, Froid/ Lake increased its advantage to 19-10 on kills by Jaeleigh Davidson, Christoffersen and Nesbit. A strong serve by Makaylee Elvsaas put the margin at 22-12.

With the score at 23-16, the Red Hawks finished the second set with a kill by J. Davidson and a serve by Nesbit.

The powerful attacking of Christoffersen and Nesbit led the Red Hawks to an 18-7 advantage in the third set.

Kills by Nesbit and serves by Christoffersen put Froid/ Lake ahead 24-8 en route to the 25-9 victory.

Nesbit finished the match with nine kills, two blocks, four aces and one dig.

Christoffersen accounted for 10 kills and three aces. Salvevold had three kills and two digs.

B. Davidson finished with 24 assists, two blocks and a dig. Aleah Johnson had one dig.

J. Davidson scored eight kills. Addison Elvsaas had a dig.

The Red Hawks will host Lustre on Friday, Oct. 14, and Scobey on Saturday, Oct. 15.
