Area Athletes Run In Glendive

 

Wolf Point’s Peyton Summers kept his outstanding cross country season going by earning first place at the Glendive Invitational on Friday, Sept. 9.

The junior finished first with a time of 16:51.04.

Wolf Point’s Kelby Bauer, a senior, placed 10th with a time of 18:54.75.

Rebel Mays finished in 18th place at 20:24.19. Trent Hamilton took 43rd at 28:19.19.

Poplar’s boys took third in the team standings with 81 points behind Miles City with 39 and Glendive with 57 points.

Geordy Medicine Cloud led Poplar by taking 12th at 19:21.68. Miles Boxer was right behind at 19:26.24 for 13th place.

Kaniel Ricker took 17th place at 20:06.45. Navarjo Escarcega placed 24th at 20:49.76.

Wilder Bearcub finished in 28th place at 21:09.35. Delray Lilley took 35th at 21:31.43. Raylando Red Eagle was 36th at 21:36.18.

Poplar’s girls captured second place in the team standings with 59 points. Miles City topped the field with 45 points. Sidney was third with 63 points.

Poplar’s Reinita Irizarry finished in seventh place at 22:03.20. Plentywood’s Annie Kaul was the overall winner at 19:48.38.

Jazmyn Carrywater took 10th place at 22:27.16. Mattie Falls Down finished 11th at 22:55.77.

Blake Follette ran the course in 23:48.92 for 14th place. Kacie Colgan took 18th place at 24:17.60.

Caidryn Archambault finished 28th at 25:59.52. Bailey Dupree took 35th at 27:29.84.

Teams will compete at the Glasgow Invitational in Fort Peck on Saturday, Sept. 17.
