Woman Makes Not Guilty Plea To Drug Charge

Christine Suzanne Amy made a not guilty plea to criminal possession of dangerous drugs during a hearing in district court on Wednesday, July 13.

A trial was scheduled for Oct. 13.

Public defender Sally Kay Hickok requested that Amy’s bond be reduced from $75,000 to $25,000.

Amy is facing another charge in Wyoming, and it was noted that she has relatives including children in Wyoming.

Hickok said that the defendant has a job in Wyoming and has never missed a court appearance.

Roosevelt County attorney Frank Piocos argued that Amy is a danger to the public since she has sold fentanyl. She doesn’t have any ties to the community.

Piocos said that Amy is likely to also face federal charges in Montana.

District Judge David Cybulski decided to reduce the bond to $25,000. Cybulski cautioned Amy that it might not be worth posting bond if she expects to get arrested on a federal charge soon.

Andrew Rico Hallman had a hearing on Wednesday, July 13, regarding an alleged violation of his parole conditions.

Hallman denied six parole violations including not paying his court fees, not paying his supervision fees and not providing an urine sample.

An adjudication hearing was scheduled for Aug. 23.
