Roy and Jodi Neufeld, Marty and Angie Smith, Brandon and Jen Reddig and Bill and Trisha Reddig hosted a 50th anniversary celebration for their parents, Dean and Julie Reddig, and uncle and aunt, Les and Judy Toews on June 29 at the Smith’s home.
Dean and Julie were married June 24, 1972, and Les and Judy married Sept. 9, 1972, at the Lustre EMB Church.
Grandchildren and great-grandchildren of Dean and Julie attending were Tiffany Garner, Jace and Blakely, Austin and Madison Neufeld and Lake, Amber and Clay Reddig, Alexa, Joel and Drew Reddig. Daughter-in-law Jen Reddig and Shelby and Clint Norcutt and Reuben Garner were unable to attend. Celebrating with the couples were sisters and families Dan and Joan Anderson, Chris and Cathy, Daryl and Jean Toews, Laurie Klippenes, Curt and Lisa Neufeld, Samantha, Jake and Piper; Luanne Mullet, Sophie and Oliver. Brothers, sisters and families of Dean attending were Allen and Barb Wall, Marlin and Bonnie Reddig, George and Dorothy Keyes, Dan and Meredith Reddig, Carly Klessens, Sophia and Braeden, Garrison and Lincoln Pearson, Ron Reddig, Randy and Becca Reddig, Cam, Harlo and Marlee; Corey and Nikki Doolan, Carter, Keaton and Everly, Rome and Roni Legg, Oakley, Gunner and Roman; Bob and LaVonne Johnson.
A Eugene’s pizza dinner was enjoyed by family and friends who joined the group for cake and ice cream, some Family Feud and a challenge for the honored couples in reversed roles of tools and household chores.
The Wilmer Reddig family realized there were six marriages present at the celebration, within a span of five decades. Rome and Roni (Reddig) Legg married July 5, 2012; Randy and Becca Reddig married July 26, 2002; and Roy and Jodi (Reddig) Neufeld married June 6, 1992. Bob and LaVonne (Reddig) Johnson married May 8, 1982; George and Dorothy (Reddig) Keyes married March 30, 1972; and Dean and Julie Reddig married June 24, 1972.
