Baseball Team Scores Victories In Tournament


The combined Wolf Point and Froid Agland team posted two victories during the baseball tournament in Gillette, Wyo. In the first game, the squad fell to Sheridan by a 9-8 final. Wolf Point/Froid scored five of its runs in the second inning.

Parker Swenson and Nate Hentges each scored twice in the contest. Swenson and Braeden Romo connected for two hits. Bode Miller hit a double.

Sheridan struck for two runs in the sixth to take the lead.

Bozeman downed Wolf Point/Froid by a 12-0 margin. Andrew Dschaak and Hentges had hits for Wolf Point/ Froid.

Gillette edged Wolf Point/ Froid by a 9-5 final.

Scoring for Wolf Point/ Froid were Swenson, Dschaak, Hentges, Kash Ator and Miller.

Dschaak led the attack with two hits.

Wolf Point/Froid defeated the Miles City Colts by a 9-8 final. Hentges and Azure scored in the seventh for the victory.

Leading the squad with two runs each were Hentges, Azure and Colter Oie. Miller and Cooper King also crossed the plate.

Miller, Hentges and Oie had two hits each.

Miles City led 6-0 after four innings of play.

Wolf Point/Froid then faced Miles City again on Sunday, July 3. Wolf Point/ Froid scored an 11-1 victory for fifth place in the tournament.

Romo pitched the distance for Wolf Point/Froid.
