Hentges Advanced To General Election

Ken E. Hentges will move on to the general election in the Roosevelt County commissioners’ race.

Hentges and Edward L. Bach tied for second place in the primary election with 86 votes each. A recount on Monday, June 20, resulted in a tie again.

A drawing of a name on Monday morning in the commissioners’ office resulted in Hentges advancing to the general election.

Robert D. Toavs topped the field in the primary election with 188 votes.

Toavs and Hentges will be on the general election ballot on Nov. 8.

The winner will replace current commissioner Duane Nygaard who decided not to seek re-election.
