Montana Observes Noxious Weed Awareness Week

Gov. Greg Gianforte has declared June 5-11 as Noxious Weed Awareness Week in Montana.

With the 2022 growing season underway, the Montana Department of Agriculture is proud to recognize the vital work of the state’s network of noxious weed management professionals as they work together to protect against damages caused by noxious weeds and protect the viability of state ag lands and ecosystems.

“Every Montanan plays a role in protecting our state from noxious weeds,” says MDA director Christy Clark. “Prevention is the best form of weed control, and our department is thrilled to join partners throughout the state in promoting knowledge and understanding to stop the spread of noxious weeds and preserve the integrity of Montana lands.”
