Perez Changes Plea

Christian Alexander Perez changed his plea to a charge in district court on Tuesday, May 24.

Perez made a guilty plea to the offense of criminal possession of dangerous drugs. Maximum penalties are five years in prison, a $5,000 fine or both.

During the hearing, Perez admitted to be in possession of meth in Roosevelt County on Jan. 30, 2022.

Last September, Perez was sentenced for possession of dangerous drugs with the intent to distribute and being in the possession of dangerous drugs.

At that time, district judge David J. Cybulski gave Perez a four-year deferred sentence for the intent of distribute charge and a four-year suspended sentence for the possession charge.
