Junior High Athletes Place In Glendive

 

Junior high track athletes from Wolf Point, Poplar, Lustre Christian and Frontier were among the participants at the meet in Glendive on Friday, May 6.

Leading Wolf Point’s boys was Sam Boysun with a second in the high jump at 5-0, a fifth in the long jump at 15-9 and a sixth in the 100 at 13.17 seconds.

Zandon Calder placed fourth in the shot put at 33-3 and took seventh in the discus at 92-4.

Ezekial Gourneau finished 10th in the 100-meter hurdles at 24.24 seconds.

For Wolf Point’s girls, Marley MacDonald earned first in the discus at 72-0 and placed third in the shot put at 26-10.

Kashlyn Speak Thunder took second in the long jump at 13-9 and third in the triple jump at 30-10.

Lakealah Mays finished sixth in the 1600 at 7:05.45. Navella Weeks took eighth in the 200 at 31.18.

The 400-meter relay team of Karmyn Plain Feather, Weeks, Teagan Williams and Speak Thunder finished ninth at 1:01.91.

River Olson led Poplar’s boys by taking first in the 800 at 2:31.30 and third in the 1600 at 5:44.17.

Wilder Bear Cub placed third in the 800 at 2:33.48 and fourth in the triple jump at 29-9.

Bostyn Azure was seventh in the 800 at 2:48.34. Leighton Christiansen finished eighth in the 200 at 28.67 seconds. Raylondo Red Eagle took 1oth in the 800 at 2:38.97.

Keilan Erickson took seventh in the high jump at 4-10, eighth in the discus at 92-6 and 10th in the shot put at 31-5.

The 1600-meter relay team of Colton Dupree, Jay Feuerherm, Anthony Youngman and Jameryn Limberhand placed third at 4:45.01. The 400-meter relay team consisting of Christiansen, River Olson, Ryder Olson and Trenton Youpee took sixth at 57.81.

Leading Poplar’s girls was Kacie Colgan with a third in the 1600 at 6:27.71 and a fifth in the 100-meter hurdles at 19.60.

The 400-meter relay team of Caidryn Archambault, Colgan, Aliania Matuck and Cammie Martell finished eighth at 1:01.87.

Blake Follette finished sixth in the 400 at 1:16.07. Braelyn Nordwick placed ninth in the high jump by clearing 3-10.

Frontier’s Daniel Merisio placed second in the discus at 108-4. William Benton took fifth in the event at 96-0.

William Benton took eighth in the shot put at 31-10.

In the girls’ division, Baylee Hays finished seventh in the 1600 at 7:14.38. Kailayla Villaluz took ninth in the 1600 at 7:37.26.

Amnya Martinez took fifth at 25-2, Kaylee Hays placed seventh at 24-6 and Baylee Hays was ninth at 23-11 in the shot put.

The 800-meter relay team of Angela Gautam, Villaluz, Ania Merisio and Kaylee Hays finished ninth at 2:29.76.

Lustre’s Prestyn Klatt finished third in the 800 at 2:37.21 and took fifth in the 1600 at 5:55.31. He ws ninth in the triple jump at 28-2.

Diek Olfert took second in the triple jump at 33-4, third in the high jump at 5-0, fourth in the long jump at 16-0, fifth in the 800 at 2:33.77 and 10th in the 1600 at 5:48.77.

Nathan Fast was fifth in the discus at 95-6, eighth in the shot put at 32-7 and 10th in the 400 at 1:08.06. Cameron Reddig was sixth in the triple jump at 29-4 and eighth in the 100-meter hurdles at 21.38 seconds.

Leading Lustre’s girls was Lauryn Holzrichter as she took 11th in the high jump, 12th in the 100-meter hurdles, 14th in the long jump and 16th in the triple jump.
