Track athletes from Wolf Point, Poplar and Lustre Christian all competed at the 37th annual Norm Girard Top 10 meet in Glasgow on Tuesday, May 3.

Distance runners Peyton Summers and Ethan Blount highlighted Wolf Point’s efforts at the meet.

Summers, a sophomore, earned top honors in the 3200-meter run with a time of 10:09.71. He placed second in the 1600 at 4:38.88.

Ethan Blount, a senior, placed second in the 3200 at 10:19.07 and third in the 1600 at 4:39.85.

Taking sixth were Maddox Reum with a time of 24.31 seconds in the 200 and Mason Garfield with a best of 43-1 in the shot put.

In the girls’ division, Wolf Point’s Katelyn MacDonald took fifth in the javelin at 109-0 and ninth in the shot put at 31-3.

Josie Kolstad threw 100-6 in the javelin for eighth place.

Poplar’s top performance was Jazmin Gorder with a second-place showing in the 800 at 2:28.84.

Kameron Reum finished third in the 110-meter hurdles at 17.94 seconds and sixth in the 300-meter hurdles at 44.45 seconds.

Jase Frederick took fifth in the 3200 at 11:08.91. Kaniel Ricker took sixth in the triple jump at 38-05 and eighth in the 300-meter hurdles at 44.9 seconds.

In the girls’ 1600, Renita Irizarry took eighth at 6:11.72 and Mattie Ayers was ninth at 6:21.19. Jazmyn CarryWater took ninth in the 800 at 2:42.67.

Lustre’s Braden Ewing placed second in the long jump at 19-9 and third in the triple jump at 40-6.

Caydenn Klatt took 10th in the 3200 with a time of 12:09.34.
