Junior High Athletes Place In Wolf Point

 

Area junior high athletes placed during track action held in Wolf Point on Friday, April 22.

The Indians scored 15 points for ninth place in the eighth-grade girls’ division, 18 points for sixth place in the seventh-grade boys’ division and 12 points for 10th place in the eighth-grade boys’ division.

River Olson ran the 1600 in 5:43.17 for first place for seventh-grade boys. Ryder Olson placed fifth in the 400.

Dane Moran took fifth in the 1600 and seventh in the 800. Jay Feuerherm was fourth in the 200-meter hurdles.

Maddox Atkinson took eighth in the shot put. Raylondo Red Eagle was 10th in the 1600. Anthony Youngman took 10th in the high jump.

In the eighth-grade boys’ division, Travis Pribbernow placed third in the discus.

Trenton Youpee took fourth in the 100-meter hurdles, fifth in the triple jump and seventh in the long jump. Wilder Bear Cub took seventh in the triple jump and eighth in the 100-meter hurdles. Keilan Erickson placed seventh in the shot put. Raylondo Red Eagle was 10th in the 1600.

The 400-meter relay team of Leighton Christiansen, Red Eagle, Bear Cub and Zane Dupree finished seventh.

For eighth-grade girls, Kacie Colgan placed second in the 1600, fourth in the 100-meter hurdles and sixth in the 200-meter hurdles.

Braelyn Nordwick took fifth and KiAnn Smoker-Randeall placed ninth in the high jump. Alania Matuck took ninth and Nordwick was 10th in the long jump.

The 400-meter relay team of Caidryn Archambault, Colgan, Cammie Martell and Alania Matuck finished eighth.

Frontier

Leading Frontier’s seventh- grade boys at the meet was Daniel Merisio with a second in the discus, a sixth in the 200, seventh in the shot put and a ninth in the long jump.

William Benton took fifth in the shot put and seventh in the discus. The 400-meter relay team of Jett Azure, Benton, Merisio and Reilly Rees finished sixth.

On the girls’ side, Baylee Hays took fourth in the 1600 and Kailayla Villaluz placed fifth in the 1600.

Also placing were Hays at eighth in the 400, Harper Weeks at ninth in the 800 and Francesca Crawford at ninth in the discus.

Lustre

Leading Lustre’s seventh- grade boys was Prestyn Klatt with a second in the 800, third in the 200-meter hurdles and fifth in the triple jump.

Hadden Olfert took seventh in the triple jump and eighth in the high jump.

Diek Olfert cleared 4-10 for first place for eighth-grade boys. He placed second in the triple jump, fourth in the 1600 and ninth in the long jump. Nathan Fast took seventh in the high jump and 10th in the 200.

In the girls’ division, Lauryn Holzricther placed second in the 200-meter hurdles, seventh in the long jump and ninth in the high jump in the seventh-grade division.

Frazer

Highlights for Frazer’s girls included Aubrey Mail taking seventh in the 1600 and ninth in the 200-meter hurdles.

Isabelle Even was eighth in the 100. Elli Mail took 10th in the 800. The 400-meter relay team of Even, Maci Fourstar-Sibley, Elli Mail and Lola Romero finished ninth.
