Wolves Battle Back For Road Victory


Wolf Point’s boys’ basketball team exploded for 24 points in the fourth quarter to knock off Harlem, 67-60, on the road on Saturday, Feb. 5.
The Wolves entered the fourth quarter behind by a 47-43 margin.
“We had a very good fourth quarter,” Wolf Point Coach Troy Blount said. “We changed up our defensive scheme. We finally starting rebounding better.”
Corey Martell scored eight points and Juliun Benson added six points in the fourth quarter.
“The boys showed some heart,” Blount said.
Top scorers for the contest were Martell with 20, Kelby Bauer with 14, Kraven Silk with 13 and Benson with 10 points.
Jack Sprague finished with four points. Adding two points each were Ethan Blount, Gaige Bushman and Jaxon Azure Benson and Martell each grabbed eight rebounds. Silk had seven rebounds.
Silk and Benson had three assists each. Martell had three steals.
Harlem’s top scorers were Daniel Lawrence with 23, RJ Ramen with 10 and Tyler Cehose with 10 points.
The Wolves trailed 16-14 at the end of the first quarter and 31-30 at the half.
Wolf Point will travel to Glendive on Friday, Feb. 11, and host Scobey on Saturday, Feb. 12.
