Culbertson High School Hosts Prom


Junior class advisor Keri Hauenstein told the Community News that attendance at the 2021 Culbertson High School prom was up from 2019, at least according to her students. No prom was held in 2020. Abbey Granbois and Michael Pederson were voted queen and king, with freshmen Destiny Thompson and Carson Folem, sophomores Megan Granbois and Kobe Nickoloff and juniors Autumn Bergum and Kyler Kempton

Elections are coming up for Culbertson School Board spots. There are currently two, three-year terms open. The election will be held in the school gym Tuesday, May 4. The candidates for the open three-year slots are Pastor Gretchen Wagner and incumbents Paul S. Finnicum and Mark Colvin. Pastor Gretchen Wagner Wagner is pastor for Trinity and First English Lutheran Parish in Culbertson.

The Montana Public Service Commission has announced that Montanans will need to start using the “406” area code more than ever starting in 2021. Starting on Saturday, April 24, residents should use 10-digit dialing while calling. A call using seven- digit dialing will still be completed until October.
