Museum Birthday Bash Rescheduled

The Culbertson Museum has paused plans to host a birthday celebration this weekend. According to board member Jill Herness, repairs to the museum meat room are currently underway. A contractor has been approved and will be working on the area over the weekend. She said plans to hold a celebration will be announced when repairs are completed. Herness said that fundraising efforts for the project

Fire Warden Says County Residents Should Be Vigilant

Roosevelt County fire warden Mike Olson told the Community News at press time that Stage 1 fire restrictions will go into effect at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, July 23. Olson said the restrictions resemble the county-wide burn ban already in place, with some minor differences regarding smoking cigarettes. “The biggest difference is about smoking,” said Olson.
