Fort Kipp Celebrates Return To Form


The Fort Kipp Celebration took place over the weekend. The powwow was held over three days and featured specials for tiny tots, junior boys’ grass, old style jingle and a cowboy special. Fort Peck Tribal Court associate judge Imogen Lilley told the Northern Plains Independent that the celebration was a good time after a break due to COVID-19 last year. “Fort Kipp was where I grew up,”

It’s A Girl


Tallie Jo Armstrong was born Aug. 27 at 5:30 a.m. to Janielle Derden and Robert Armstrong of Wolf Point. She weighed four pounds 14.7 ounces and was 18 inches long. She joins a brother, Kylen Egnacheski, at home. Grandparents are Janet Escarcega and Mark and Deb Armstrong, all of Wolf Point.
