Lustre Earns Victory Over Culbertson
Lustre Christian’s boys’ basketball team defeated Culbertson by a 73-31 final in Lustre on Saturday, Dec. 18.
The Lions jumped out to a 21-6 advantage during the first quarter of action. Lustre increased its lead to 43-18 in the second period.
Kolden Hoversland led the Lions with 29 points. Braden Ewing and Cayden Klatt added 12 points each.
Also scoring for Lustre were Elijah Lenihan with eight, Clay Reddig with six, Jasiah Hambira with four and Alex Chen with two.
Colin Avance scored 13 points to lead the Cowboys.
Also scoring for Culbertson were Payton Perkins with eight, Bridger Salvevold with six, James Kirkaldie with two, Shea Scott with two and Mark Kirkaldie with two.
The Culbertson Cowgirls ran to a 64-25 non-conference win at Lustre Christian on Saturday, Dec. 18.
Culbertson gained a 24-8 lead in the first quarter and held a 32-9 half-time advantage.
The Cowgirls then accounted for 22 points in the third quarter for a 54-16 lead.
Top scorers for Culbertson were Megan Granbois with 27 and Makena Hauge with 23 points.
Also scoring were Destiny Thompson with six, Alicyn Ator with four, Autumn Bergum with two and Perla Burciaga with two.
