Wolves Place Seventh At Lockwood

 

The Wolf Point Wolves earned seventh place in the boys’ standings at the Lockwood 7 of 7 cross-country meet on Saturday, Sept. 25. The event featured Class A, Class B and Class C schools from throughout the state.

Manhattan Christian topped the boys’ standings with 11 points followed by Hardin with 13 and Laurel with 38. The Wolves placed seventh with 62 points. The score is based on seven runners, and Wolf Point featured only five runners.

Wolf Point’s Peyton Summers finished fifth for race 1 with a time of 18.44.95. Manhattan Christian’s Oren Arthun took first at 17:14.02.

For race 2, Kholby Spotted Wolf placed seventh at 20:06.01. Manhattan Christian’s Nathan Adams won the race at 17:38.69.

Ethan Blount finished fifth in race 3 at 19:38.60. Hardin’s Tayjon Joe took first at 17:57.59.

Kelby Speaks Different ran the tough course in 21:35.29 for eighth place in race 4. Hardin’s Elias Stops At Pretty Place was the winner at 19:05.63.

For race 5, Wolf Point’s Rebel Mays placed fifth at 21:02.31. Manhattan Christian took first at 19:17.03.

In the girls’ division, Piper Ruffing finished 13th in race 1 with a time of 25:27.16.

Hardin’s Mariah Aragon ran the course in 20:41.37 for top honors in the girls’ division.

Hardin’s girls won the team honor with nine points followed by Red Lodge with 19 and Colstrip with 43.
