Indians Lose Game To MonDak
Poplar dropped its homecoming football game against MonDak by a 41-6 final on Saturday, Sept. 18.
“The defense played well,” Poplar Coach Joe Hammar said. “But we kept them on the field the whole game.”
The Indians trailed by a 34-0 half-time margin.
Poplar got on the scoreboard in the fourth quarter. After a 30-yard pass from Mitchell Youngman to Adrien Matuck, the Indians reached the end zone on a short run by Gage Berg.
Hammar said defensive linemen Kyler Main, Dennis Red Eagle, Canaan Boyd and Preston Ogle had strong performances in the contest.
“We rotated them,” Hammar said. “They put a lot of pressure on.”
M. Youngman at cornerback also put together a solid game.
The Indians will travel to Broadus on Friday, Sept. 24.
