Poplar earned first in the girls’ division and second in the boys’ division during the Scobey Invitational held on Thursday, Sept. 9.

The Indians topped the girls’ team standings with 17 points followed by Scobey with 23 points and Plentywood with 36 points.

Leading Poplar was Jazmin Gorder with a time of 22:27.70 for a fourth-place showing.

Mattie Falls Down, a freshman, placed fifth at 23:05.76.

Reinita Irizarry, a sophomore, finished eighth at 24:00.90.

Jazmyn Carry Water ran the course in 24:25.76 for 11th place. Precious Keiser took 26th at 29:54.58.

Rikki Belton was 30th at 30:51.92. Gracelynn Medicine Cloud took 37th at 33:20.40.

Plentywood’s Annie Kaul was the individual winner with a time of 20:56.79.

In the boys’ division, the Indians took second with 20 points. Richey/Lambert topped the field with 12 points.

Poplar’s Jase Frederick finished fifth at 20:19.79. Geordy Medicine Cloud earned sixth at 20:34.81.

Elijah Grey Bear, a freshman, placed ninth at 21:44.13. Delray Lilly took 19th at 24:29.53.

Finesse Headdress finished 29th at 29:42.49. Jaylen Red Dog took 31st at 33:23.56.

Matthew Ellerton of Richey/Lambert was the individual winner at 19:23.14.
