The Wolf Point Wolves earned two volleyball victories during the Scobey Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 11.

During pool play, the Wolves downed Nashua, 15-2, 15-13, and Wibaux, 15-8, 15-13.

Sierra Hamilton led Wolf Point with eight kills against Nashua. Kylie Rodenberg finished with 14 assists. Katelyn MacDonald served seven aces. Sarah Williamson had three digs.

Against Wibaux, MacDonald accounted for two aces and eight digs. Hamilton scored four kills, Rodenberg had nine assists and J’Elle Garfield had a block. The Wolves split their two sets against Richey/Lambert in pool play with scores of 16-14 and 10-15.

Hamilton led the attack with four kills and four blocks. Williamson served an ace. Rodenberg finished with nine assists. MacDonald had five digs.

Wolf Point fell to Plentywood, 13-15, 12-15, and Jordan, 9-15, 11-15.

Coach Kim Hanks was pleased with how the Wolves played against the strong Plentywood team.

“We played really well,” Hanks said. “It was a lot better than Friday.”

Leading the team against Plentywood were Garfield and Hamilton with three kills and a block each. Rodenberg served two aces and had six assists. MacDonald finished with nine digs.

Against Jordan, Wolf Point’s leaders were Garfield with four kills, Rodenberg with 11 assists and MacDonald with six digs.

In the single-elimination tournament, Circle edged the Wolves by a 25-21, 25-19 final.

Hamilton led the team with five kills and two blocks in the match. Rodenberg had 10 assists. MacDonald finished with eight digs.

The Wolves lost to Class C power Plentywood, 13-25, 25- 27, 17-25, at home on Friday, Sept. 10.

Leaders for the Wolves were Hamilton with eight kills, Rodenberg with 19 assists and an ace and MacDonald with 13 digs.

The Wolves will travel to Poplar on Thursday, Sept. 16, host Scobey on Friday, Sept. 17, and head to Malta on Saturday, Sept. 18.
