County Reaches 40 Percent For Vaccinations

Roosevelt County has two COVID vaccination clinics scheduled in the next few weeks.

Roosevelt County Health Department received the first positive Delta variant report for a Roosevelt County COVID-19 case on Aug. 26. Delta is highly transmissable and is currently the most common COVID-19 variant circulating in the United States.

Area Statistics

As of Sunday, Sept. 12, Roosevelt County has 35 active cases and three current hospitalizations. There have been 56 COVID-related deaths reported in the county.

As of Monday, Sept. 13, Valley County’s active count was 17 cases. There have been 991 total cases and 18 reported COVID-reported deaths.

Daniels County had four active cases as of Thursday, Sept. 14. The county has 199 recovered cases and 211 cumulative cases. Eight deaths have occurred due to COVID-19 and/or complications.

In McCone County, there are three active cases as of Monday, Sept. 13. There are 203 recovered cases. There have been two COVID-related deaths in the county.

Phillips County had 11 active cases as of Monday, Sept. 13. There have been 563 recovered cases and 18 COVID-related deaths.

For Richland County, there are 45 active cases and 1,341 recovered cases as of Thursday, Sept. 9. Total COVID-related deaths are 18. There have been 1,404 total cases.

Statewide

According to Montana health officials, the state’s total number of known cases now stands at 134,935 since the start of the pandemic. There have been 1,692,898 tests conducted.

Around the state, there are 7,589 active cases. There are 351 active hospitalizations. By Monday, Sept. 13, a total of 1,842 deaths have been reported statewide. A total of 125,504 people have recovered.

Though there is no state mask mandate, local jurisdictions may still choose to implement their own mask requirements. Gov. Gianforte emphasized how providing incentives and encouraging personal responsibility are more effective than imposing unenforceable government mandates.

Vaccine Doses

In Roosevelt County, 7,028 total doses have been administered. There have been 3,397 or 40 percent fully immunizations.

As of Monday, Sept. 13, 969,223 total doses have been administered in Montana. There are 473,730 or 51 percent fully immunized Montanans.
