Babe Ruth Team Places Fourth

Wolf Point’s Babe Ruth baseball team took fourth place at the district tournament held in Plentywood during the weekend.

The Yellow Jackets opened play with a 24-14 victory over Froid on Friday, June 11.

Wolf Point lost by a 13-3 final against Plentywood on Saturday morning. Glasgow then eliminated the Yellow Jackets, 22-10, on Saturday night.

Plentywood defeated Scobey in the tournament championship game.

Selected to the Babe Ruth All-Star team from Wolf Point was Preston Swenson. The All-Stars will head to Glendive and Miles City for tournaments. The state tourney is scheduled for July 1418 in Miles City.

Wolf Point’s American Legion will travel to Froid for a double-header on Thursday, June 17. The Yellow Jackets will have their home opener against Glendive on Tuesday, June 22, with games at 5 and 7 p.m.
