Lions Earn Firsts In Whitewater

Lustre Christian scored 33 points for fifth place in the girls’ division and 84 points for second place in the boys’ division at the Whitewater Invitational. Winning team titles were Whitewater’s girls and Malta’s boys.

Earning first place for Lustre’s boys were Jasiah Hambira with a time of 25.23 seconds in the 200, a best of 18-04 in the long jump and by clearing 6-2 in the high jump and Cayden Klatt at 2:32.83 in the 800 and 5:40.34 in the 1600, Lustre’s boys’ 400-meter team consisting of Sean Uy, Braeden Toavs, Klatt and Hambira finished first in 49.84 seconds.

Placing second were Toavs in 1:04.45 in the 400 and Hambira in 12.69 seconds for the 100. Toavs finished third in the 800 at 2:38.69.

Toavs placed fifth in the long jump with a mark of 1505.

Leading Lustre’s girls with first-place honors were Tiara Whitmus with a best of 97-03 in the discus and Alexa Reddig with a time of 14.46 in the 100.

Whitmus earned third in the javelin with a mark of 9704.

Reddig placed fifth in the long jump (12-11), fifth in the 100-meter hurdles (21.50) and fifth in the 200 (31.73).

Aubri Holzrichter finished fifth in the 800 with a time of 3:07.98.
