Wolf Point Takes Third in Baker


Wolf Point’s boys accounted for 64 points to tie Miles City for third place at the Baker Invitational on Saturday, April 17.
Zander Ackerman, a senior, had a strong meet for the Wolves as he finished first in the 800-meter run with a best of 2:03.82. Ackerman placed second in the 1600 (4:35.07) and second in the 3200 (10:33.71).
Austin Wilson enjoyed an excellent day in sprints as the senior placed second in the 200 with a time of 24.72 seconds, third in the 100 (11.88) and fifth in the 400 (55.44).
Alsp placing in the 1600 were freshman Peyton Summers with a time of 4:57.64 for third and junior Kholby SpottedWolf with a time of 4:57.81 for fourth.
SpottedWolf finished third (10:52.18) and Summers took fourth (10:59.19) in the 3200.
Wolf Point’s 1600-meter relay team featuring Ackerman, Summers, Wilson and SpottedWolf earned fifth place in 3:55.96.
Other highlights for the Wolves included Mason Garfield taking 10th in both the shot put and discus, Spotted-Wolf finishing seventh in the 800 and Maddox Reum taking ninth in the 200.
