Poplar Girls Score At Baker Meet
Poplar’s girls’ track team earned 22 points at the Baker Invitational on Saturday, April 17.
The long-distance running ability of Jazmin Gorder highlighted Poplar’s efforts. The junior finished first in the 3200 with a time of 12:47.04. Gorder ran the 1600 in 5:53.43 for second place.
Keandra Martell put together a solid meet. The senior finished fifth in the 100-meter hurdles at 19.23 seconds and sixth in the 300-meter hurdles in 55.78 seconds. She also placed sixth in the discus at 90-07. She took eighth in the javelin.
Highlights for Poplar’s boys included Kameron Reum taking seventh in the 110-meter hurdles and 10th in the 300-meter hurdles, Poplar travels to Sidney on Saturday, April 24.
