The Wolf Point boys put in quite a performance at the Wibaux Invitational track meet held in Glendive on Saturday, April 10. The Wolves ended up being the top Class B squad during the 15-team meet.

Wolf Point finished with 71 points in the team standings. Glendive earned first with 109 points and Sidney placed second with 98 points. Also in the top five were Plentywood at 55 and Glasgow at 42.

Zander Ackerman led the efforts with a first-place showing in the 800 (2:04.73) and a second-place finish in the 1600 (4:48.89).

Peyton Summers, a freshman, finished second in the 3200 in 10:53.14. Ethan Blount, a junior, placed fourth in the race with a time of 11:06.02.

Summers captured thirdplace honors in the 1600 with a time of 5:07.02. Also placing in the 1600 were Kholby SpottedWolf in fourth (5:07.63) and Blount in fifth (5:09.81).

Kaholo Toves finished third in the 200 with a time of 24.62 seconds. The senior placed sixth in the long jump with a best of 18-11.

Mason Garfield, a junior, placed third in the discus with a best of 119-03.

Wolf Point’s 400-meter relay team consisting of Toves, Maddox Reum, Corey Martell and Austin Wilson finished third with a time of 46.58 seconds.

In the 800-meter run, August Spotted Wolf finished fourth with a time of 2:16.78, and K. SpottedWolf took fifth in 2:17.38.

Wilson ran to a fourthplace finish in the 100 in 12.07 seconds.
