Wolf Point’s boys kicked their track season in strong fashion on Thursday, April 1, by taking third place at the Glasgow Invitational.

The Wolves scored 55 points at the 22-team meet. Hinsdale won the team title with 76 points while Havre placed second with 65 points.

Highlighting Wolf Point’s performance were outstanding showings by the two relay teams.

The 400-meter relay team consisting of Kaholo Toves, Austin Wilson, Maddox Reum and Corey Mortell finished first with a time of 47.34 seconds.

The 1600-meter relay team featuring Zander Ackerman, Wilson, Toves and Peyton Summers placed second in 3:50.50.

Wilson, a senior, enjoyed a solid meet with a second in the 100 (12.52), a third in the 400 (55.53) and a fifth in the 200 (25.25).

Toves, also a senior, finished third in the 100 (12.52) and sixth in the 200 (25.40).

Zander Ackerman earned two second-place showings. The senior finished second in the 1600 with a time of 4:46.75 and second in the 3200 in 10:30.34.

Ethan Blount took fifth in the 3200 in 11:16.05 and was ninth in the 1600 in 5:23.13.

Peyton Summers, a freshman, placed seventh in the 1600 (5:18.51) and seventh in the 3200 (11:18.10). Kholby Spotted Wolf took seventh in the 800 (2:19.90) and 10th in the 1600 (5:23.71). August Spotted Wolf placed 10th in the 800 at 2.:21.55.

The Wolves will compete at the Wibaux Invitational in Glendive on Saturday, April 10.
