Olson Leads Wolves In Glasgow

Jewel Olson excelled as Wolf Point’s girls opened their track season at the Glasgow Invitational on Thursday, April 1.

Olson, a senior, captured first-place honors in both the 200-meter dash (28.17 seconds) and 400 (62.02). She also placed third in the 100 (14.01 seconds) against a strong wind.

In the team standings, Wolf Point took fifth place with 37 points. The top three teams were Hinsdale with 52, Havre with 51 and Plentywood with 50 points.

Wolf Point’s 400-meter relay team consisting of Katelyn MacDonald, Kylie Rodenberg, Josie Kolstad and Olson finished second with a time of 55.53 seconds.

MacDonald, a sophomore, placed fifth in the javelin with a best of 90-07.

Hamyanie Campbell, a junior, earned sixth in the 3200 with a time of 13:35.91 and took eighth in the 1600 in 6:15.11.
